c. Does he stay with the fastball when he's behind in
the count?
C. On Deck Preparation.
1. Analyze the Game Situation.
2. Continue studying the pitcher.
3. Continue working on timing from a closer distance.
4. Finish developing a plan.
D. Inside/Outside Batter's Box Routine.
1. Develop a routine for outside and inside the batter's box.
E. The Fear Factor (Intimidation)
1. The "Righty-Righty" & the "Lefty-Lefty" (more frightening)
a. Every pitch from the middle of the plate to the inside corner appears to be closer to the batter.
b. The pitcher's release point appears to be closer to the batter.
c. Breaking pitches started at the body are more intimidating and requires more courage to stand in and hit.
2. The "Righty-Lefty" & the "Lefty-Righty" (less frightening)
a. Every pitch appears to be "away" from the body.
b. Pitches "breaking in" are not intimidating.

2. If you are not able or willing to make adjustments, you will not be a successful hitter.
